The International Students gathered one last time for a weekend of fun in Rhinelander at Connie Schoeneck's home. They swam, fished, went for boat rides, tubed, and just enjoyed each other's company. Special Olympics Basketball - February 22, 2009 The International Students played a game of basketball against the Special Olympics teams. The game went into double overtime, and as you can see from the pictures, a great time was had by all! Trip to Schoeneck Home - January 30, 2009 The International Students traveled to Rhinelander for the weekend to stay with Mrs. Schoeneck. They were able to either cross-country ski or snowshoe, and all were given the opportunity to ice fish. Ski Trip to Granite Peak - January 21, 2009 The International Students spent an evening at Granite Peak. They were given their choice of downhill skiing and snowboarding. Pastor Kim's Visit - November 14, 2008 Pastor Kim visited Northland on November 14, 2008. The school was blessed to hear him preach. He showed a video on Korea, and met with our Korean students. House on the Rock - October 11, 2008 The International Students traveled to Spring Green to tour the House on the Rock. They were then given a tour of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. They all enjoyed eating at a Korean restaurant in Madison, and then shopping at a mall there. Brewers Trip - September 27, 2008 The International Students and a few host brothers traveled to Milwaukee to cheer on the Brewers as they attempted to capture their Wild Card spot. The Brewers lost, but a great time was had by everyone and the Brewers came back to win on Sunday, placing them in the playoffs for the first time since 1982! Up North - August 30, 2008 The International Students and their host families traveled to northern Wisconsin. They visited an Indian Reservation, fished at a Trout Hatchery, and spent the afternoon at the Grundman's where they had the opportunity to go boating and tubing, swim, fish, and eat. International Students Arrive International Students arrived at the Mosinee airport from mid-August - mid-September. Pictured with the Peter family is Yoon Jae Lee (9), pictured with Sharon Van Ryzin is Gyu Bin Han (9), and pictured with the Klieforth family is Yong Jun Cheon (12). Dae Won Koo (10) is living with Jean and Matt Gottlieb. Not pictured is Geun Min Kim (10), who will be living with the Kauzlaric family, and Byung-Hoon Ryu (11) who will be living with the Grundman family. |
