Servant Opportunities

As long as it is day, we must do
the work of him who sent me.
John 9:4a

Pictured above left is Steve Ranta who volunteers his services with Northlands Bus Fleet, and other Northland Vehicles.  Above right are Chance Gelling, Mark Cooper, Tom Marheine, Kao Yang, and Chris Cordrey, all current students at Northland who volunteer their various services several hours each week.

Northland Lutheran High School exists to assist families and churches in discipling young people to live and share their faith in Jesus Christ.  For nearly 30 years Northland has instructed Christian teens in the Word of God while also providing them with the skills necessary for college and careers.

However, the education of our Christian youth cannot be accomplished without the continued support of individuals, parents, and congregations who are committed to the Gospel ministry and mission of Northland. "Night is coming," Jesus says, "when no one can work" (John 9:4b).  We must, therefore, heed Jesus' words and work while it is day!

There are many opportunities for service that exist at Northland, not only within the school itself, but also at the congregational and personal level.  Please review the stewardship options presented here and prayerfully consider how you or your family can assist Northland in its mission to disciple young people to live and share their faith in Jesus Christ.

*     Dime and Dollar Thrift Stores

Located in Wausau and Stevens Point, the Dime and Dollar Thrift Stores fund a large portion of Northland's operating budget through the resale of like-new clothing and other quality merchandise donated by individuals, families, and churches.  Each store is staffed on a volunteer basis for a few hours a day, a few days per week.  These stores have contributed over $1.1 million towards the operation of the school.

To make a contribution of your time or treasure, please contact the Dime and Dollar Thrift Store nearest you for store hours and donation drop-off information.

Perseverance is a stewardship program through which individual supporters can

make regular gifts to Northland on a scheduled monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, or at whatever time is most economically convenient.

Regular, individual financial gifts are necessary to support the balance of Northland's operating budget not covered by student tuition and the contributions of associated congregations.  Application forms are available at Northland or through your local congregation.
