In the Fine Arts, Northland offers two primary performing groups and various courses in the visual arts.

Concert Band and Choir are the performing groups as well as scheduled classes.  Both seek to help the student develop and use their God-given talents through regularly scheduled concerts and services.  Two of the concerts are sacred concerts, giving us ample opportunity to discuss and rejoice in the gifts of God to us in Christ Jesus.  It is otherwise our intent to relate the way in which all musical arts are in service to God whether "pop" music or sacred.  Being in the Concert Band makes one eligible for the Lutheran Vanguard of Wisconsin, a summer marching program sponsored by eight of the WELS high schools in Wisconsin.
Being in the Choir makes one eligible to audition for the Northwinds, the primary touring and show choir.  Members of both band and choir are encouraged to participate in the Solo and Ensemble Contests.  We have annually averaged 10 events competing at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival for the last 18 years.

All students are eligible to select Band, Choir and the various Art classes as part of their elective choices.

Students interested in the Dramatic Arts are welcome to audition for an annual play performance, usually held in Spring.  The play allows students to develop their abilities to share a story and its emotional impact.  A small number of students can also work with their interests in technical roles such as: backstage crew, lighting, etc.  The play is an extra-curricular activity.
